Anna Sundstrand Speaks Out on Play’s “Reunion”!
Dear Fans,
I know you are upset and confused about the news that I will not be a part of the “new” Play. This situation was out of my hands and not my decision. Faye did call me a couple of months ago to tell me the news. She also told me they did not want me included in the “Play reunion”. I was sad and hurt about the decision, especially the way it was handled. Play was such a big part of my life; it saddens me to know they could just continue without me and Rosie. Thankfully, I have my own career that I’m focusing on. I have movie projects, my book, etc. coming up. Thank you so much for all your support over the years and through this awkward situation. I’m strong and I’m a fighter. I hope to have your support in all of my future projects. You have a lot to look forward to. Thanks for being patient.

I dont like that you arent about of it, you and rosie were my favorites. Faye left and you guys contuned without for for a while, before going different ways. thats just not cool, at all. i have all the cds. it wont be the same to me with out the four of you Rosie,Faye, Anais, and of course you Anna.

Why? Why did they not want you? You’re one of the ORIGINAL members. It’s not like they were getting Anais, Rosie and you back together and leaving Janet out since she wasn’t one of the ORIGINAL members. That’s pretty understandable to me if that was the case.
I just hope you and the “new PLAY” find the success that you deserve.
that is a load of bull that they could do that to one of the original members, well not they i guess Faye. But doesn’t Anais have any say in this? I wanna know why this is all happening, why Faye turned to salty against Anna? Keep your head up Anna I am officially a bigger fan to you than of the so called “new play”.
I support Anna (sorry Anais and Faye). I love all 5 of you girls (the 5th is Janet of course) but wtfreak is going on? Anna was the first memeber, so all of this is crap. Anna I’m here for you. I’ll pick you anyday over this new “play”. Keep pushing foward Anna!

I think there might be a misunderstanding. It was no doubt the people who invest the money — the managers and producers — who chose which girls would be in the group and decided it would be a trio only. Faye, out of courtesy, was letting Anna know so she wouldn’t hear it second hand. Anyone who knows music would have to admit that to succeed, Faye and Anais have to be in the group. Their vocals were always the heart of Play’s music. Rosie, who is working on her solo career, would have been a good compliment but I’m guessing she knew she would be a background singer only and would prefer writing and recording her own songs. Just a guess.
This is really not surprising considering the people Anna associates herself with . I really imagine it was just a smart business decision. Not to mention the fact that Anna lives in the States now and the other girls all reside in Sweden. I can understand Rosie & Janet not wanting to rejoin as both have varying degrees of solo success that they apparently want to continue pursuing.

Reading this was upsetting, how could Anna and Rosie not come back. That is outrageous. Faye had the greatest voice, then Anais came along then Janet. When Faye left everyone sounded like little girl group with Faye they sounded so mature. Now Faye is just being a which. They all came a long way. Anna should’ve gone back, she’s all grown now with an amazing voice and could outtake Anais but Faye needs to watch her back. I’m not a fan of having this new girl coming along, it’s not cool. Anna and Rosie you’ve been my inspiring and I love you girls and hope you will succeed. Anais and Faye watch out cuz theses two girls you called best friends have become an icon more than you
It is completely ridiculous that Anna and Rosie aren’t in the group anymore. The new girl, Sanne isn’t even a good vocalist in my opinion. I thought that Rosie was Faye’s best friend even before the made the group, and now she isn’t it? Anna was my favorite, always will be. The fact that she was frozen out of the reunion is complete bullshit. I hope that the new line-up flops big time.
Rosie has been doing great, working with Cocky and featured on a large portion of his songs. I wish the same for Anna. I hope she releases an album and takes off big time in the US, good luck Anna! I’m roiting for you.
