Sandy Lo Releases 2nd Novel “Dream Catchers”; Debuts Song “Haley’s Letter” at Book Release Party in NY!

StarShine Magazine’s editor, Sandy Lo is releasing her second novel, DREAM CATCHERS later this month. The much anticipated book from Lo’s budding fan base is set in New York City which takes its main character, Haley Foster on the adventure of her life.

“Haley is a sheltered, rich girl,” Lo explains. “She hates her life and feels out of place wherever she goes.” In steps the leading male character, Jordan Walsh, a laid back musician who’s the exact opposite of Haley. The two wind up stranded together at a truck-stop. “They hate each other and enjoy insulting one another,” Lo says. Jordan challenges Haley to go to New York with him, where his rock band, Tortured is participating in a battle of the bands competition.

“DREAM CATCHERS was the most fun I’ve had writing a story,” Lo says. “It’s by far my favorite, and I don’t think that will change anytime soon. The characters just came to life for me so easily, and I hope readers will enjoy it as much as I did,” Lo gushes.

To celebrate the release of DREAM CATCHERS, Sandy Lo is having a book release party on January 23, 2010 at Cargo Cafe in Staten Island, NY. She will be signing copies of the book, taking Q&A, and having performers. Sandy Lo will also be debuting “Haley’s Letter”, a song she wrote for DREAM CATCHERS with longtime friend and musician, James Manzello. James Manzello will be performing the song acoustically at Cargo Cafe. Other performers include pop star, Anna Sundstrand (formerly of Columbia Recording artist, PLAY).

“I’m so excited to debut ‘Haley’s Letter’ and to have James Manzello perform it. He’s amazingly talented!” Lo explains. “It’s also great to have Anna Sundstrand there. She’s a great friend and support to me as well as a beautifully talented singer and actress.”

Following the release of DREAM CATCHERS, Sandy Lo hopes to embark on many promotional opportunities across the country to expand her fan base. Recently, she took a trip to Tempe, Arizona to film her first on camera interview with The Author’s Show. The appearance aired at www.authorswebtv.com from November 30-December 1, 2009.
